HANDICAP SYSTEM

Handicap for members in the New Mexico Senior Golf Association are established in accordance with U.S.G.A. Standards except as modified below:

1. In your first tournament with the organization your GHIN Hdcp will be used.

If you do not have a GHIN or club Hdcp, the Handicap Chairman will assign you one.
2. In your 2^nd tournament your Hdcp will be:

a. Your Hdcp established in accordance with #1 above or,
b. A Hdcp based on your 1^st Tournament score, adjusted for

Equitable stroke control (ESC) whichever is lower.

3. In your 3^rd tournament your Hdcp will be:

c. Your Hdcp established in accordance with #1 above or,

d. A Hdcp based on your 1^st tournament score (adjusted for ESC) or,

e. A Hdcp based on your 2^nd tournament score (adjusted for ESC) whichever is lower.

4. In your 4^th tournament your Hdcp will be the lower of your previous

tournament scores.

5. In your 5^th and 6th tournaments your Hdcp will be based on your lowest

two (2) tournament scores.

6. In your 7^th and 8^th tournaments your Hdcp will be based on your lowest

three (3) tournament scores.

7. In your 9^th and 10^th tournament your Hdcp will be based on your lowest

four (4) tournament scores.

8. In all succeeding tournaments your Hdcp will be based on the lowest five (5)

scores from your latest ten (10) tournaments.

All tournament scores are adjusted for Equitable Stroke Control (ESC) as prescribed by U.S.G.A. Rules and Regulations.

At the end of each calendar year the handicap file shall be revised to exclude all scores older than two (2) years.
